Educational Background

What I’ve Learned

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education

August 2016 - December 2020

Throughout my time at Bowling Green State University I participated in various clubs and activities, studied to become an art educator, became the artist I had always dreamed of becoming.

Within art education, I was given the opportunity to teach an a wide variety of different settings preparing myself for the classroom and students I will get to call my own. I recently received a score of 59 on my EDTPA placing me as a top scorer for the Art Education department at Bowling Green State University. I also got the chance to study a wide variety of different art practices and mediums helping me develop my skill set as an artist. Through these studios, I met some truly inspirational people who only helped better me in my personal art-making endeavors.

I also got the amazing opportunity to participate in BGSU's Undergraduate BFA Show in March of 2020 which you can view through this link. (https://www.bgsu.edu/arts-and-sciences/school-of-art/galleries/past-exhibitions1/spring-2020/bfa-show-2020/Allison-Bingham.html

Owens Community College

August 2015 - May 2016

While in high school, I had the opportunity to study American Sign Language at Owens Community College which helped me to better understand how to communicate with certain individuals in my community as well as form a better understanding of who I am as. a hearing impaired individual.

Elmwood High School

August 2012- May 2016

I attended Elmwood High School and graduated in May of 2016. During my high school career, I was a 4-year member of the Color Guard, Choir, and Art Club. Through my participation in the Art Club, I got the chance to participate in multiple art shows in which I received multiple "Best of Show" Ribbons, as well as some first and second place ribbons.
